Liquor Barons take their wine seriously. Every fortnight, their expert wine panel gathers in the cellar of the Swanbourne store to blind taste 30 to 40 wines. No labels, no influence. Just the wine in the glass. The best are selected purely on merit, and that’s where Loaded comes in.

Loaded was engaged to design and produce a quarterly fine wine guide that does justice to the rigour behind the selection process. Each edition profiles the chosen wines in a publication that’s as considered as the tasting itself, with a design aesthetic that evolves to reflect the season and the calibre of what’s being poured.

The brief wasn’t just to make something that looked good. It was to create a publication that felt like a natural extension of the Liquor Barons brand: warm, knowledgeable, and a cut above the standard retail catalogue.

Each seasonal edition carries its own visual identity, shifting in palette, texture and feel to suit the time of year. Autumn’s guide feels different to Spring’s. Winter has its own character. The result is a body of work that builds into something genuinely collectible, and a recurring reminder to Liquor Barons customers that great wine deserves great presentation.
